ACTS members consist of leaders, investigators, and trainees from academic medical centers, government, industry, and philanthropy.
The purpose of ACTS can be broken up into four realms. These four areas of focus are research, education, advocacy, and mentoring.
ACTS supports investigations that continually improve team science, integrating multiple disciplines across the full translational science spectrum: from population based and policy research, through patient oriented and human subject clinical research, to basic discovery. Our goal is to improve the efficiency with which health needs inform research and new therapies reach the public.
ACTS is the academic home for the disciplines of research education, training, and career development for the full spectrum of translational scientists. ACTS provides a strong voice to advocate for translational science, clinical research, patient oriented research, and research education support. We will engage at the local, state, and federal levels and coordinate efforts with other professional organizations.
ACTS will promote investigations and dissemination of effective models for mentoring future generations of translational scientists. Through collaborative efforts, ACTS will provide a forum for members to share studies, promote best practices, and optimize professional relationships among trainees and mentors.
The Association for Clinical and Translational Science was specifically created to address the needs identified through creation of the CTSA program. As such, the Association’s mission is to advance research and education in clinical and translational science so as to improve human health.

The missions of many different professional societies overlap the mission of the Association for Clinical and Translational Science, and the Association recognizes and respects the contributions that these societies make to advancing the discipline of clinical and translational science. As a result, the Association for Clinical and Translational Science is eager to partner with these societies and join in common cause to advance the field.

How do I access my member profile?
· When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.
How do I change my password?
· When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.
· Under the Actions button, select Change Password.
How do I edit my profile?
· When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.
· On your profile page, click the Edit Profile button on the right. Your full profile will be visible and editable.
How do I update my email address where all of my ACTS communications will be sent?
Please Note: ACTS’ new website allows members to display one email address in the Member Directory, and have another email on file where all ACTS communications will be sent.
· When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.
· On your profile page, click Edit Profile.
· Your Public Email is the email that will display in the Member Directory.
**If you have opted out of this search, this email will not be displayed anywhere.
· Your Private Email is the dragon pharma steroids email where all communications (including forum digests) will be sent.
· When you are done editing your emails, save your changes by clicking on the OK link at the bottom left-hand corner of the page.
How do I add a bio or signature to my member profile?
Please Note: ACTS’ new member profiles include biography and signature fields. Use these to communicate your background to our members and provide your contact information easily when posting to our discussion forums.
· When logged in, click on “My Profile” under My Options.
· On your profile page, click the Edit Profile button on the right. Your full profile will be visible and editable.
· At the bottom of the profile, you will see the signature and member biography fields. Format your information as desired, and save your changes click OK at the bottom left-hand corner of the page.
How do I add my picture to my member profile?
· When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.
· Click on the My Pictures button on the right-hand side of the page.
· To upload a picture, click on the Update File button, and then the Browse button to choose your image from your desktop.
To save your image, click OK at the bottom left-hand corner of the page.

How do I search for other ACTS members?
· Once logged in, under the Member Center tab, select ACTS Member Directory. This will take you to a page that will allow you to search for an ACTS member by first or last name, job title, organization (employer), city, state, or country.
How do I find and view the profiles of other ACTS members?
· When logged in, click on the down arrow next to the search box in the upper right corner of the site.
· Search for a member by first or last name.
· To view their full profile, click on their name.
How do I update the information displayed on my profile (your new My Page) through the ACTS Directory?
· All of the information being pulled in to your My Page or your profile that is visible to other members, is coming from your full user profile.
